Rooted and Renewed is based on being rooted in Christ Jesus and being intentional to renew your mind daily. Colossians 2:7 NLT says, “Let your roots grow down into Him [Christ Jesus], and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” Ephesians 3:17 tells us our roots will grow deep down in God’s love and keep us strong. If a tree’s roots do not grow deep into the ground, it is unstable and will not withstand the storms. Christ is our firm foundation and when we allow our roots to grow deep, the storms of life will not take us out.

Romans 12:2 tells us to let God transform us into a new person by changing the way we think. Renewing your mind is an intentional act, of surrendering our ideas, our thoughts, and bringing them under submission to the Word (2 Corinthians 10:5). When we change our thoughts to line up with scripture we can clearly see where truth stands against the lies we believe. It is truth that sets us free.
